Bill McAteer CPP, ACE Owner/Principal
Bill McAteer is a security professional with extensive experience in threat mitigation, risk assessments, emergency management, and the evaluation of advanced security technologies. His background blends nearly three decades of law enforcement leadership with senior roles in sales, customer success, and strategic development within the security technology sector.
Bill has supported organizations across public safety, critical infrastructure, and commercial environments by guiding them through complex deployments, managing expectations, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle. His work includes reviewing and implementing emergency management platforms, conducting risk‑based assessments, and helping agencies strengthen their operational readiness through informed technology adoption.
Before entering the private sector, Bill completed a distinguished 28‑year law enforcement career, retiring as a Police Commander after serving in airport, seaport, and administrative leadership roles. He has contributed to national aviation security committees and continues to support the profession as a lecturer for Northeastern University, where he teaches in the homeland security and business continuity programs.
